Roberts heads People’s Charter Working Group  

                          
Fiji Employers Federation chairman Ken Roberts was elected chairman of Working Group 4 of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji (NCBBF) National Task Team 2 (NTT2) during their meeting in Suva today.
Former High Commissioner Ratu Isoa Gavidi was elected vice-chairman.

WG4 focuses on the role of the Government, Private Sector and Civil Society for stronger growth, greater equity and sustainability.
Like WG 4, WG5 which also focuses on Growing the Economy met later this afternoon.

WG4 was the first of the nine WGs scheduled to be meeting at the Parliamentary Complex this week.
The WG4 have divided up under issues of Land and the Environment, role of Government, private sector and civil society and Macroeconomic management including monetary policy.

Meetings of other groups continue tomorrow starting with WG1 which will deliberate on the issues under NTT1 of Good Governance, Leadership and Constitutional Reform.

This will be followed by WG6 under NTT2 which will look at the issues of Development of Resource Based Sectors.
Around 34 members from all sectors of the community are expected to deliberate on these issues in tomorrow’s sessions.
