New faces for the National Council for Building a Better Fiji

The upcoming meeting of the National Council for Building A Better Fiji will include new members appointed by the President, Ratu Josefa Iloilovatu Uluivuda.
The new members join the 33-member Council for the second NCBBF meeting at the Nasova Police Academy on Thursday, (March 27, 2008).

There are 38 Council members now including the new members. Co-chairs of the Council are Interim Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama and His Grace Archbishop Petero Mataca.
Technical and Support Secretariat Head John Samy said although two Council members have recently resigned, the door remains open for them to rejoin.

The council will be deliberating on the National Task Teams January meetings outcomes, Consultation Document on the Preparation of the State of the Nation and economy Report, Media and Outreach Strategy for the People’s Charter for Change, Peace and Progress and the Independent Monitoring Group during the Thursday meeting.

Ratu Josefa while opening the first NCBBF meeting early this year said the Council was going to be made up of 45 members.
While ten are from the Interim Government, 35 are to be made up of academics, business organisations, political parties, religious groups and non-government organisations.
