My Perspective

The People’s Charter is a vision and a dream of moving Fiji forward and ushering in a new society. A Fiji that is genuinely multicultural, that is progressing and prospering, where people live harmoniously. A vision of Fiji where there is no second class citizen because we are all children of God.

The People’s Charter process enables us to participate together in eradicating poverty and other problems in our country. It is a process that encourages informed participatory consultations where people are enabled to make decisions affecting their lives out of the truth that is tabled before them. Engagement with the truth will liberate them all from unsatisfying conditions and lead them to live with dignity and integrity. It is the process of walking with truth rather than denying it. 

In my view, The Peoples Charter will not only make our Fiji stabilized but it will also help in moving Fiji towards a better nation, where each of us could flourish. Therefore, the major aim of the Charter is moving Forward together to build a Better Fiji, so to make that dream a reality; we all need to work towards it, because individual effort will not lead us anywhere.

But whatever happens ,Fiji is said and known to be one of the best countries in the world for its climate, people and as well sevens rugby and we citizens should be proud of it.
