Independent Monitoring Group

Following consultations, both within the Government and with civil society leaders, it has been agreed that an Independent Monitoring Group be established.

The IMG will consist of eminent and reputable persons of international standing and from outside of Fiji.

The IMG ’s role will be to independently oversight the whole PCCP process, from commencement to its conclusion with the national referendum on the People’s Charter. Upon completion of the draft PCCP, the IMG will submit to NCBBF an independent report on the integrity, transparency and robustness of the PCCP process, at all of its phases of formulation.

It is anticipated that the IMG will comprise a three-member panel, with one designated as Chair.

The IMG will visit Fiji, on at least the following occasions/periods:
